Our next meeting of the 2010-2011
season, is on Tuesday, June 15th at
7:30pm at the
Wilshire Grand Hotel in West Orange.
Special Thanks to former New Jersey Devils
defenseman Ken Danekyo for being our
guest speaker and answering all of our
questions and giving some interesting
stories.
As always, meetings are a great
opportunity to socialize with other
Devils fans. You must be a Current
Member to attend any General Meeting.

Golfing With New Jersey’s Iron Man
Golfing with Ken Daneyko may be easier
than you think! On
Thursday, July 15, 2010, Ken will meet
and greet golfers as they play to
support The Center for Great
Expectations, a home for pregnant,
homeless and addicted young women.
The setting will be the beautiful
Suburban Golf Club in Union, NJ and the
event will be the annual Ken Daneyko
Golf Classic. The
day will begin with a wonderful brunch
where golfers will mingle with Ken and
other celebrities.
Following an afternoon of golf, a sunset
reception on the patio of the club will
offer fabulous food and photo
opportunities.

for the entire day is $325 per person.

"Shoot for the
Stars!" ALL STAR HOCKEY GAME
Sunday, August 8th at 5:30 PM
Former
New Jersey Devil and active member of
the alumni organization, Garden State
Games standout, inaugural inductee into
the New Jersey High School Ice Hockey
Hall of Fame at Prudential Center and
New Jersey resident Jim Dowd’s Shoot for
the Stars Foundation will hold his
thirteenth annual Shore High School All
Star Hockey Game on Sunday, August 8th
at 5:30 P.M. at The Red Bank Armory, 76
Chestnut Street, Red Bank, NJ. This
charity game features the best high
school players from Monmouth and Ocean
counties.
Proceeds from
this event will be donated to the
Brick Stars “Special Need” Challengers
Ice hockey program.
This
program is offered to players in
Monmouth and Ocean counties between 5
and 17 years of age that have a mental
challenge. There are currently 3 other
challenger programs in NJ that are
funded by the town or by NHL grants. The
Brick Stars program is the fastest
growing challenger program in NJ and is
also the only program that is
totally funded by the people with no
outside
monetary assistance. We would like to
help make sure this program not only
survives, but can grow as needed. Jim
tells us “I was lucky enough to attend a
“Brick Stars” challenger game this
winter. I got to see first hand the joy
it brings to the kids as they step onto
the ice and attempt something they never
thought they would have the chance to
do.”
Come out and see great high school
hockey while supporting a local charity.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at

NHLBCC 2010 - Pittsburgh Come and join your Devils Fan Club members and other hockey fans at the
40th Annual NHL Booster Club Convention (BCC) in
Pittsburgh, sponsored by the Pittsburgh
Penguins Booster Club. The convention is
scheduled for August 13th through August
15th with preconvention activities
starting August 8th.
